I found yoga as a way to heal. Initially finding the time on my mat as a physical workout, it morphed into a practice that helped me to restore mentally and emotionally.
The profound effects yoga had on me sparked a desire to spread my passion for yoga to everyone I meet. I enrolled in yoga teacher training and obtained my RYT 200 certification with Yoga Alliance in December 2016, and continue to further my education. Most recently, I became certified under the Prison Yoga Project to provide yoga to victims of trauma. I am continually learning and refining my teaching under the guidance of my mentor Danni Pomplun.
I will be obtaining my RYT 500 certification in 2019.
My classes encourage you to feel your body, with an emphasis on using your breath to feel every inch. You will also be exposed to my (bad) humor.
See you on your mat! Learn more at jessicaseid.com

Practicing yoga for 10 years now and I can honestly say it has healed my life in so many ways. I took a yoga course in college and became fascinated with the practice and Buddhist teachings. With a background in fitness training and dance, I naturally gravitated to the mixture of both along with connecting the breath that a yoga practice provided. Over the years I researched, meditated and practiced yoga in so many different styles and ways and fell in love with this beautiful practice. In 2013 I became eager to strengthen my practice and attain credibility as an instructor so I completed a 200hr intensive training in Nicaragua with Radiant Life Yoga School. It was one of the best experiences of my life. There I learned my style of teaching is uplifting and encouraging students while connecting their mind body and spirits. Connecting the breath with the body and alignment are huge focal points in my classes as well as smiling and having a good time.

At a young age, Jack found yoga and was immediately captured by its transformative benefits. Now, after practicing and teaching yoga for more than nine years, yoga is key to Jack’s cultivation of authenticity, wellness, and success. Essential to the methodology and philosophy behind Jack’s yoga approach is the refinement of acceptance. Each person arrives in yoga with their own unique abilities and Jack emphasizes the importance and power in sitting in one’s truth, while letting go of judgment. This additionally means that, for Jack, yoga is not just the physical practice of stretching, strengthening, and improving balance, but also the (sometimes difficult) process of moving through trauma, learning to love yourself, and embracing the unique manifestation that is you. Jack seeks to teach a physically intensive class without foregoing skill, attention, and mindfulness. Therefore, students feel both the physical benefits of the practice and that they learn something new each time.
Jack is well versed in most avenues of yoga, including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Anusara, and Iyngar. He has studied under many master teachers. In 2010, Jack received his first 200-hour teacher training under Jason Crandell in San Francisco, during which he learned the art of skillful sequencing and alignment. In 2015, Jack attended his second 200-hour training at the Boulder YogaPod. In 2017, Jack finished his 300 – hr Advanced Training with Jason Crandell.

Jenny is as an athlete at heart and a yogi by choice. As an avid ultra-runner and lover of anything fitness-related, she first encountered yoga as a low impact counterbalance to her other activities and training routine. Jenny’s background as a personal trainer, running coach and self-proclaimed biomechanics and anatomy nerd ignited her interest in a professional path in yoga. The decision to become RYT200 certified in 2016 was born out of the request of her clients to integrate yoga and mobility into their own training. Jenny ended up falling in love with teaching and the yoga community of the Bay Area and decided to make it a full time career in early 2017.
Jenny has an alignment-based focus, allowing students to feel the practice of yoga differently in their bodies as they grow a strong mind-body connection both on and off the mat. When she isn’t teaching yoga, you can find her lifting heavy, running fast and taking awesome selfies with her dog, Henry.

Berenika was born and raised in Prague, where she earned her MS. She spent the past few years in San Francisco working in the tech industry with yoga becoming her only refuge and link to the Source in a busy 16 hr a day startup schedule. In the hypermasculine overachieving environment she became disillusioned about this lifestyle and felt deeply called to seek for an inner technology that can bring more soul into her body, balance her feminine and masculine and empower her to step into her purpose. Everything in her life started shifting and transforming and she slowly started stepping into her power. Working on self-expression is a big part of her personal journey and it reflects in the way she teaches. She intends to empower you to step into your true self, express freely and find your inner voice.
Berenika specializes in Kundalini Yoga and the power of sound current as a way of embodying your higher self. Her intention for each class is to create a powerful container & heart-centered environment rich with encouragement. Follow her on Instagram @weareancestors

Gustavo Rearte began practicing martial arts at age 7. For over 20 years, his practice in Shotokan Karate and Aikido enabled him to hone his craft, gain discipline, and shift from a focus of self-protection to self-perfection. Gustavo found yoga at a time when he was looking for more inner peace. Through a regular practice of asana and pranayama, he was able to connect more deeply with himself and the world around him.
His class focuses on building a more technical understanding of alignment and movement, enhancing mind and body awareness, and helping students to feel more grounded on and off the mat.

Katy Steadman been teaching yoga since 2001 and practicing since 1996. She teaches in a style that ignites curiosity, and encourages students to explore their whole self. Her method has developed from training in a variety of yoga traditions.
From 2004-2007, Katy lived in Hawaii where she studied with her beloved teachers Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini. Their teachings reflect the beauty and wisdom of the Krishnamacharya lineage. While living in Hawaii she completed two Maya Yoga teacher trainings, and traveled to India with her yoga family to study with Sri K Pattabhi Jois. Such a blessing!
Since Landing in the Bay Area in 2007, Katy has studied mostly in the traditional Iyengar lineage with Osha Hanfling who is a constant source of inspiration. She has also learned a lot from the simplicity, and focus of Jason Crandell?s classes.
Katy completed the Pre/Post Natal Yoga Teacher Training with Jane Austin in 2010. She delved into the Yoga Philosophy Program at CIIS in 2011 and completed the Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Judith Lasater in that same year.
Over the past 15 years, Katy has been touched beyond words by her Sanskrit teacher, Bhavani Maki. Katy views the knowledge within the Yoga Sutras as an important key for us all to truly live our practice, and thoroughly enjoys taking the opportunity to weave this wisdom into her classes.
Katy is highly skilled in observing the individual student in a group class. She makes adjustments based in both impeccability of alignment and thoughtfulness. Her teaching style is warm and compassionate, and she has definitely been known to crack a joke or two!
There are no prerequisites for any of Katy’s classes. All classes are for all levels. She primarily teaches hatha yoga with focus on breath, alignment and a sense of well being. Katy facilitates a practice that is both grounded in tradition, and is sustainable for life.
As Katy has matured as a Yoga Teacher she has adapted her skillset for the Corporate Yoga world. She has been teaching at various companies, and organizations in San Francisco since 2009.
Most recently Katy completed the Leadership training with Off the Mat Into the world. OTM is an organization committed to bridging the tools of Yoga with sustainable conscious activism and effective community action on and off the mat. It feels essential to her that Yoga students truly live the practice by opening their awareness to include all beings. She hopes to continue to inspire people to work diligently toward collective, and equitable change.
Where Katy really shines as a Yoga Teacher is in her ability to foster community and connection though her classes. She is honest and authentic in her approach. The vibrant Yoga community that Katy has cultivated over years of teaching is a wide spread, and a very cohesive flock. Her students are continuing to become more deeply connected to themselves, and each other since becoming her “virtual” Yoga students amidst the Coivd reality of 2020.

I found yoga as a way to heal. Initially finding the time on my mat as a physical workout, it morphed into a practice that helped me to restore mentally and emotionally. My life experiences and the resulting trauma opened space for yoga to take centerstage. Because of the impact and transformation yoga had on me, I became a teacher to share this practice and the adoration I have.
I have studied with Jason Crandell, Janet Stone, and Judith Hansen Laster and have an alignment-focused approach in both vinyasa and restorative styles of yoga.
Outside of yoga, I have a huge fascination with language and hold a Master’s in Linguistics from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. My life can be summarized into four words: yoga, language, cats, and carbs.
My classes encourage you to feel your body, with an emphasis on using your breath to feel every inch. I believe in breaking down movements of the body so that students understand the asana fully: the function, the benefit, and how it can be sustainable for years to come. As a bonus, you will also be exposed to my (bad) humor.
See you on the mat!

Jaretta has been dancing since was 8 years old and teaching since 2012. Her Dancefit classes are truly international with a touch of Latin, Afro Haitian, Bollywood, Bellydance, Hip-hop, Contemporary & almost any type of dance you can think of.
“I like mixing it up, but most of all inspiring individuals to enjoy dance in a non-threatening environment- I repeat an 8 step series in each song so that by the third time you can do the step. What participants seem to love about Dancefit is feeling like they got a great cardio workout but also the release of serotonin that comes with moving your body that makes you feel AMAZING afterward.”

Movement has always been a part of my life, from gymnastics to dance, tennis to track events including hurdles, long and triple jump. I first discovered yoga in 2007 as an alternative training method while I was a dancer and choreographer within a modern dance company. My passion for guiding movement has led to my love of teaching dance, yoga and fitness over the past 15 years. Over the years yoga took centerstage and expanded beyond just physical benefits, and in 2016 I trained in Fierce Grace Yoga, mostly to stay somewhat sane during my PhD studies.
I’m a compassionate teacher and my intention is to help students learn more about their own bodies while I prioritize alignment over depth during each class. My sequencing is accessible to a wide range of students as I explain poses and movements from the entry level to the more advanced expressions. To ensure accessibility and inclusivity, I’ve learned modifications and the use of props for neck, knee, back, hamstring injuries, sciatica and pregnancy for many poses. Having experienced years of sports related injuries I’m always happy to discuss ways to make the practice work for you.
I guide my students in a light-hearted and playful way, with an emphasis on mindfulness. Rather than blindly pushing students to their max or encouraging contortion into unnatural shapes, my classes focus on awareness, acknowledgement, and acceptance as a foundation for improvement. After class you’ll feel like you’ve created space for growth, mentally and physically. Ultimately my goal is to get you comfortable being uncomfortable.
Off the mat, I teach dance and fitness, have a PhD in Neuroscience and am an Ayurveda and nutrition nerd. After spending about six years in London and a few months teaching yoga in Rome and Tuscany, I’m excited to be stateside again and explore what the west coast has to offer.
